Fethiye Fethiye: Fethiye is one of the most popular resorts due to its extreme loveliness.  Set on a wide bay, strewn with many islands. Fethiye is known for its rock tombs carved into the faces of the cliffs by the Lycians. 

These are elaborately carved and an especially remarkable; one is the tomb of Amnytas dating from the 4th century BC built in Doric architectural style. Other historical places in the city are the Sarcopaghi and the Fethiye Tower. Around Fethiye, there are important ancient cities of the Lycians.

Fethiye bazaar Fethiye Bazaar: The Fethiye bazaar is very colourful. On tuesdays you have the weekly local market set up.

You do not get the general disorder you get in other bazaars. The sections for fruit and vegetable stalls, clothing and handcraft are all organized.

In the bazaar you have everything from fish to vegetables and fruit, hand woven clothes to the art works and clothing. The prices are among the cheapest of all the regular markets.

Oludeniz Fethiye Oludeniz remains one of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean sea. It has a secluded sandy bay at the mouth of Oludeniz, on a blue lagoon. 

Oludeniz is famous for its shades of turquoise and aquamarine, and is an official blue flag beach, and is frequently rated among the top 5 beaches in the world by Travelers and Tourism Journals alike. It is regarded as one of the best places in the world to paraglide due to its unique panoramic views, and the Babadag Mountain's exceptional height.

Paragliding Fethiye Paragliding: Oludeniz is one of the best places in Europe for paragliding hence in the last ten years the area became mecca for paragliders from all over the world.

Paragliders from all nations come to Oludeniz for some of their best flights of life time with turquoise blue waters, white strechs of beaches.

Butterfly Valley Fethiye The Butterfly Valley is one the most beautiful bays of Fethiye. It is the home of the unique Jersey Tiger butterfly.

Between June and September, butterflies in thousands of colours and countless varieties can be seen here.

This valley is an interesting canyon with steep cliffs up to 350 meters high. The Butterfly Valley may be rached by service boats from Oludeniz.

Saklikent Gorge Fethiye Saklikent Gorge is the largest gorge in Turkey, about 45km away from Fethiye. It is a spectacular place, with sculpted walls soaring high above.

The gorge is open from the April 1 to September 30. The best time to visit is in the morning or late afternoon to avoid tour groups in the high season.

Kayakoy Fethiye Kayakoy is a village 8 km south of Fethiye where Anatolian Greeks lived until approximately 1923.

The ghost town, now preserved as a museum village, consists of hundreds of rundown but still mostly intact Greek-style houses and churches which cover a small mountainside and serve as a stopping place for tourists visiting Fethiye and nearby Oludeniz.
